Learning From the Land
My Indigenous identity is at the heart of everything I do. I was raised with the understanding that the land is a teacher, a provider, and a relationship we have and a responsibility to care for.
Some of my earliest teachings came from my parents and grandparents through hunting, fishing, gathering, preparing food, and living with the seasons. I learned through watching, listening, helping, and being present—understanding that the animals, plants, water, mountains, and seasons all carry teachings.
These teachings continue to guide my work today. When I create, teach, or share culture, I draw from what has been passed down to me while continuing to learn and listen. My culture is not something I simply represent. It is something I live, carry, and continue forward.
BEYOND THE CREATIVE PROCESS
From Passion to Possibility
What begins with a simple idea can grow into something extraordinary.
One of the most meaningful opportunities in my creative journey has been bringing my handcrafted work into a larger space through a collaboration that celebrates Indigenous artistry and cultural expression.
